Giddens Transportation & Logistics, LLC is a small family-owned trucking company out of North Carolina founded by Tiffany and William Giddens. Family is the #1 priority at Giddens Transportation, and those values are integrated into everything we do daily. Our Focus is providing exceptional service to our customers. We can deliver nationwide dry van truckload, expedited truckload, intermodal, and logistics services to the manufacturing, retail, and automotive industries.
Who We Are
The veteran pair, Tiffany and William, served in the US Army for 36 years. Tiffany Giddens was a Medical Laboratory Technician in the United States Army for 20 years before retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. William Giddens, who has expertise as a motor vehicle operator and in logistics, is still serving in the US Army. William presently works out of San Antonio, Texas, and is a captain.

Qualification
Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA) states that you must meet certain minimum requirements in order to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). These qualifications are as follows:
Must Be 21 Year Old
Applicants must be 21 years old or older to be considered for employment.
Must Be Able to Read and Speak English
Applicant must be able to read and speak English well enough to converse, understand traffic signs, respond to official inquiries and fill out required forms and reports.
Must Be Experienced
Must have experience or training to safely operate the type of equipment you drive
Meet Physical Requirements
Must be able to meet the DOT’s physical requirements
Must be Certified
Must have passed and be issued a certificate of Driver’s Road Test
Must Present Any Violations
Must provide your employer a list of any violations for which you have been convicted in the last 12 months
Must be Commercial
Must not be disqualified to drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle
Valid Operator’s License for Class Vehicle(s)
Must have a valid operator’s license for the class of vehicle being operated

What Kind of home time can I expect? We are aware of how crucial home time is for our drivers. However, each person has different needs; thus, at Giddens Transportation, each driver is given a personal Driver Manager who will work with them to ensure their success, including getting them home when needed. Does GTL offer Rider Policy? Yes. You can take a rider for a specific amount of time under the terms of Giddens Transportation on rider policy. Therefore, as soon as you solo out, you are qualified to take a rider. What is GTL pet policy? We are delighted to have your furry friend here. Get further information from your recruiter. Does GTL Really Care About Their Drivers? At GTL, drivers are the foundation. We put a lot of effort into ensuring that our drivers’ requirements are satisfied because we always keep sight of the fact that our organization’s success depends on your success. You are more than a number at GTL; you are a person. Therefore, all of our interactions must be based on respect and understanding. What If My Driving Record Isn’t Perfect? Each driver applicant is given a case-by-case evaluation of all motor vehicle records by May Trucking Company. If I Have A Felony Conviction Will I Still Qualify To Drive For GTL? Every felony charge is examined individually. I Have A Driving Under The Influence Conviction. Will This Keep Me From Being Qualified? A Driving under the influence conviction must be at least five years ago to be considered for employment. What If I Have Been Convicted Of A Crime Involving Drugs? Will This Keep Me From Being Qualified? All convictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. I Am a Professional Driver; Will I Be Treated Like One At GTL? Absolutely. GTL is aware that not every worker has the same requirements. Some drivers need more supervision and assistance than others. At GTL, you choose the degree of assistance you require. GTL will give you all the time and resources necessary to guarantee your success if you’re one of the drivers who need more hands-on management. Drivers are allowed to complete their tasks more hands-off if they so choose.
